If Allah qualifies something with a condition, we must follow that condition.For example, he says: [Al-Ma'idah: 89] And He did not say: "Food for ten poor people,"If he had said: "Food for ten poor people," would have been sufficient for me to give charity equal to what suffices for ten,But he said: ،Meaning: that you feed ten poor people,As He said regarding zihar: [Al-Mujadilah: 4] It means: I must feed sixty poor people by number. Did you understand?The questioner: Meaning, is what suffices in quantity enough?The Shaykh: No, no, no, it is not by quantity,If Allah had intended the quantity, He would have said: So its expiation is food for ten poor people,He said: Did you understand? But how do you feed them? Do you give them something dry and they cook it, or do you cook and invite them?We say: The matter is broad. If you wish, cook a lunch or dinner for them and invite them to it. If you wish, give it to them to cook themselves. If you want to give it to them to cook, the amount is approximately one kilogram of rice for each poor person. It is good to include meat with it to be a side dish for it.
