Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Cast into the Hellfire every disbeliever who is stubborn)
It is said: [Q:24] : His saying: [Qaf 50:24] may be difficult for a student of knowledge;Because he said: the companion is singular, and here contains the alif of the dual, so how is it correct that the singular is addressed with the address of the dual? The exegetes differed in their answer to this: So some of them said: the sentence was made dual, or the dual pronoun was attached to it based on the repetition of the verb, so his saying: ((Cast)) is like his saying: Cast, Cast, so the repetition is then for the verb, not for the doer, this is one opinion.
The second opinion: Either it is a singular noun with a possessive suffix, and it is known that a singular noun with a possessive suffix is for generality, so it includes every companion that is established, and on this basis, means: the two angels entrusted with him.
If someone were to say: Show me evidence or a corroborating narration that the singular is for more than one.
We said: Welcome,Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: [Ibrahim:34] And is the blessing of Allah singular? No;For Allah the Exalted said: [Luqman:20] ; but the blessing of Allah is a singular noun with a possessive suffix, so it includes every blessing.
It is possible that someone might say: His saying: is: one of the two angels, and there is no doubt that it is permissible for one of the two to speak with the name of the two.
In any case, his saying:[Qaf 50:24] in its proper place,Meaning: that the pronoun here is the dual pronoun of the doer.
[Q:24-26] Six descriptions: [Qaf 50:24] : and (disbelievers) As for it being said that it is a form of exaggeration; because this disbeliever has done types of disbelief, so when the types are gathered, they become many.
And it may be said: This form is not a form of exaggeration, but rather it is a form of attribution,Just as it is said: like a carpenter and a blacksmith and the like of those who are attributed to this trade,The meaning is then kafar, i.e., : a disbeliever; but disbelief has become entrenched in his heart, may Allah protect us from that.
meaning: one who is obstinate against the truth, he does not accept it, no matter how the truth is presented to him in an attractive, clear, and evident manner, he does not accept it.
The third description: prevents good, so he prevents the call to Allah, and he prevents spending his wealth in what pleases Allah, and he prevents every good;Because His saying: a general term that includes every good,And his statement: as if he seeks every good and prevents it, so this form is a form of exaggeration.
meaning: he transgresses against others,Meaning: If only he prevented others from good, but rather he transgresses against them, look -for example- at the disbelievers of Quraysh, what did they do with the Messenger? They prevented him from good and transgressed against him.
meaning: one who is in doubt, suspicion, and anxiety, and likewise he causes others to doubt, so he puts doubt in their hearts, so the word "mureeb" (doubtful) implies describing a person with it and conveying this description to others.
The sixth description:[Qaf 50:26] And how broad is this word! And if this word is a description of the stubborn disbeliever,So the meaning is: that he worships others besides Allah, and we all know that the polytheists used to worship others besides Allah, so they worshipped al-Lat, al-Uzza, Manat, and Hubal, and every people had a false god they worshipped as they worshipped Allah, they bowed to it, they prostrated to it, they loved it as they loved Allah, and they feared it as they feared Allah, we ask Allah for safety.
This is if we make[Qaf 50:26] a description of this stubborn disbeliever, but if we make it broader than that, it includes every person who worships other than Allah, and humbles himself before other than Allah, even the merchant who has no concern except his trade and its growth, he is a worshipper of it, even the owner of camels who has no concern except his camels, he is a worshipper of them, and the evidence that whoever is occupied with something away from the obedience of Allah is a worshipper of it,The evidence: is the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (Woe to the slave of the dinar, woe to the slave of the dirham, woe to the slave of the khumaysa, woe to the slave of the khumaylah) The slave of the dinar is this: a gold merchant,The slave of the dirham: a silver merchant,Woe to the slave of the khamisah: a cloth merchant; because the khumaysa is the beautiful embroidered garment,Woe to the slave of the khamilah: a merchant of carpets, or is he not a merchant? He does not trade in these things; but he is occupied with them away from the obedience of Allah,
Also in the Noble Qur'an is what indicates that worship is broader than this, Allah the Exalted said: Have you seen the one who takes his desire as his god? [Al-Furqan:43] So that indicates that whoever prioritizes his own desire over the guidance of his Lord has taken it as a god,For this reason, we can say: All sins are included in shirk (associating partners with Allah) in this sense, since he prioritized them over the pleasure of Allah the Exalted and His obedience, so he made this a partner for Allah Mighty and Majestic in his worship of Him and his following of Him.
So shirk is a great matter and its danger is severe, even if a man gives charity with a dirham and he is watching so that perhaps people will see him to praise him and say: he is a noble man, he is considered a polytheist who shows off, and showing off is shirk, the greatest thing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) feared for his Ummah was hidden shirk,And it is: showing off.
So, based on this, we say: [Q:26] : If you intend it to be a specific description of the stubborn disbeliever, then it is specific to the one who worships the idol and the statue, and if you intend it in generality, it includes everyone who is occupied with other than Allah away from the obedience of Allah, and you have known the examples and evidence for what we mentioned.
Allah the Exalted said: [Q:26] and it is the punishment of the Fire, we ask Allah to protect us and you from it by His grace and generosity.
It is said:
[Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever,
أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍThrow into Hell
أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَAnd his companion said: This is what I have ready for you
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌCast
أَلْقِيَاCast
أَلْقِيَاThe second opinion:
And his companion said
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌAnd his companion said
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُIf someone were to say: Show me evidence or a corroborating narration that the singular is for more than one.
We said: Welcome,Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
And if you should count the favor of Allah, you could not enumerate them
وَإِنْ تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ لا تُحْصُوهَاand amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent
وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُ ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةًIt is possible that someone might say: His saying:
And his companion said
وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُIn any case, his saying:
Throw into Hell
أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَevery obstinate disbeliever, (25) Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter, (26) Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity
كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ * مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُرِيبٍ * الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَevery obstinate disbeliever,
كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍAnd it may be said: This form is not a form of exaggeration, but rather it is a form of attribution,Just as it is said: like a carpenter and a blacksmith and the like of those who are attributed to this trade,The meaning is then kafar, i.e., : a disbeliever; but disbelief has become entrenched in his heart, may Allah protect us from that.
Stubborn one
عَنِيدٍThe third description:
Who prevents what is good
مَنَّاعٍ لِلْخَيْرِWhat is good
لِلْخَيْرِWho prevents
مَنَّاعٍTransgressor
مُعْتَدٍDoubter
مُرِيبٍThe sixth description:
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity
الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَThis is if we make
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity
الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَIf he is given, he is pleased, and if he is not given, he is angry. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named the one who occupied himself with these four things instead of obeying Allah a slave of them.
إن أعطي رضي وإن لم يعطَ سخط) فسمَّى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من اشتغل بهذه الأشياء الأربعة عن طاعة الله سماه عبداً لها.So shirk is a great matter and its danger is severe, even if a man gives charity with a dirham and he is watching so that perhaps people will see him to praise him and say: he is a noble man, he is considered a polytheist who shows off, and showing off is shirk, the greatest thing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) feared for his Ummah was hidden shirk,And it is: showing off.
So, based on this, we say:
Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity
الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهاً آخَرَAllah the Exalted said:
