The Shaykh :[Al-Furqan 25:65] Even though they spend the night in prostration and standing for Allah, fearing the Fire. [Al-Furqan 25:65] This is because they do not boast of their deeds to Allah, nor do they claim a favor from Allah for their deeds. They believe that the deed belongs to them: [Fussilat 41:46]. They see that Allah has the favor over them when He guided them to this deed. For this reason, Allah the Exalted described them in another verse as those who [Adh-Dhariyat 51:18]. Look, they stand in the last part of the night seeking forgiveness from Allah, because they see that they are falling short. No matter how much a person does of worship and obedience, he has not fulfilled the right of Allah the Mighty and Majestic upon him. If you act in obedience, Allah has a right over you to thank Him for it, because obedience is a blessing. And if you thank Allah for this blessing, another right becomes incumbent upon you to thank Him a second time for this gratitude. And if you thank Him a third time, what then? A fourth right. For this reason, the poet said a praiseworthy saying:
"If my gratitude is a blessing of Allah, a blessing *** upon me, then for its like, gratitude is obligatory.
How can the fulfillment of gratitude be reached except by His grace, *** even if the days lengthen and life continues".
O Allah, we ask You for the gratitude of Your blessings. Glory be to You, we cannot count Your praise; You are as You have praised Yourself.
[Al-Furqan 25:65] Hellfire is one of the names of the Fire. It has many names. May Allah protect me and you, our parents, and our scholars from it, for He is Able to do all things.
[Al-Furqan 25:65] As if the punishment of Hellfire is coming toward us. So they say: [Al-Furqan 25:65], meaning: it was binding, in the position of a creditor’s claim upon a debtor, meaning: it is inescapable. -May Allah protect us and you-. And this inescapability is only for those who deserve it, and they are the disbelievers. As for the believer, even if he commits sins for which he deserves to be punished in the Fire, there is something else beyond this, which is the mercy of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. Allah the Exalted said: [An-Nisa 4:48] After that? . Be glad, O my believing brother, hope for good from your Lord. No matter how great the sins are, as long as they are less than shirk (associating partners with Allah), they are under the will (of Allah). But do not be deceived by this so that you feel safe from the scheme of Allah and continue in sins. And you say: Praise be to Allah, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. [An-Nisa 4:48], because some people are deceived by this mercy from Allah the Mighty and Majestic. But we say to these people: Did Allah the Exalted not say: "and He forgives what is less than that" without saying: "for whom He wills"? Are you certain that you are under the will that Allah wills to forgive you? No, you are not certain. This is a matter that is ambiguous, which we do not know. So do not feel safe from the scheme of Allah, and do not despair of the mercy of Allah.
And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell
وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَwho say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell
يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَWhoever does righteousness - it is for his [own] soul
مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحاً فَلِنَفْسِهِAnd in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ"If my gratitude is a blessing of Allah, a blessing *** upon me, then for its like, gratitude is obligatory.
How can the fulfillment of gratitude be reached except by His grace, *** even if the days lengthen and life continues".
O Allah, we ask You for the gratitude of Your blessings. Glory be to You, we cannot count Your praise; You are as You have praised Yourself.
