Explanation of the Hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) - He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This is the eleventh hadith, and the last in this chapter, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) as well. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Some of the Fire (in the shape of a long neck) will come out of the Fire on the Day of judgment. It will have two eyes which can see, two ears which can hear, and a tongue which can speak. It will say: 'I have been left in charge of three: Every obstinate oppressor, everyone who called upon a deity besides Allah, and the image makers.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2574Hasan (Darussalam)
. This neck refers to a flame of fire that emerges from the Fire in a solid form, possessing two eyes with which it sees, two ears with which it hears, and a tongue with which it speaks.
It will say: 'I have been left in charge of three يقولُ : إنِّي وُكِّلْتُ بثَلاثَةٍ
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2574Hasan (Darussalam)
; that is, by torturing and burning them,
Those who set up another god alongside Allah, every arrogant tyrant, and the image-makers بِمَن جعَل مَع الله إلهًا آخَر ، وبكُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنيدٍ ، وبالمُصَوِّرِينَ
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 33:191
. Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is a good, authentic, and strange hadith. He explains the strange term in the hadith by saying: 'Unuq, with a dammah on the 'ayn and a nun; meaning: a group or side of the Fire.
-- And peace be upon you --
This last hadith contains strangeness in terms of the news from the unseen matters it includes, which one must believe in; namely, that Allah (Mighty and Majestic), by His power, brings out from the Fire of Hell a part of it that takes the form of a head with two eyes, two ears, and a tongue with which it speaks and talks, saying that it has been entrusted with torturing three groups: those who took another god alongside Allah, every arrogant, tyrannical, and stubborn person, and the image-makers. This hadith, which is the tenth of the hadiths in the chapter, I have read all of them to you except the ninth; for there is weakness in its chain, and those hadiths that we read suffice for the chapter in place of it. And as we said, the term "image-making" and "image-makers" is absolute; so in terms of its absoluteness, it includes three-dimensional images and non-three-dimensional images, and in terms of looking at the reason for the occurrence of some of them, it indicates that the Messenger (peace be upon him) only said it on the occasion of non-three-dimensional images.
