Ruling on the phrase: (May you be a blessing upon us)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
[The ruling on the phrase: (May you be a blessing upon us)]

We have a phrase: (May you be a blessing upon us, O so-and-so) If this is not permissible, how do you reconcile it with the statement of Usayd ibn Hudayr: [This is not the first time your family has been a blessing, O family of Abu Bakr] ?

They say: The word (Tبارak) is specific to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), whereas (The blessing descended upon us when it descended) or similar phrases are permissible, but (Tبارak) in this specific form is said to be exclusive to Allah, and the common people never intend the specific meaning reserved for Allah. And what they intend by saying: (May you be a blessing upon us) means that a blessing and good came about through your arrival.

Then this blessing, if it is a Sufi blessing in the sense of: If the blessing is in his person alone, then this is forbidden, but if the blessing is that he provided them with knowledge by sitting and teaching them, for example, or benefited them with wealth, then this is true, and if he did not benefit them, it is a lie and not permissible.
