Is it permissible to say: "Blessed are you, so-and-so," and the like?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The common people say: "Blessed are you upon us, so-and-so, this is from your blessing..."?

Answer:
The act of seeking blessing (tabarruk) is not appropriate for anyone but
blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds.تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
[Al-A'raf: 54]. However, saying "this is from the blessing of so-and-so" is permissible if he has an effect, such as when Usayd said: "This is not the first of your blessings, O family of Abu Bakr."
As for saying "Blessed is so-and-so," that is not permissible. The phrase "Blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds" is used only for Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
Q: What about the word "blessed" (mubarak)?
The Shaykh: "Blessed" (mubarak), like what Allah said about 'Isa:
And He has made me blessed wherever I amوَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُ
[Maryam: 31]. If good is known from so-and-so, and that Allah causes good to flow through his hands, he is called "blessed" (mubarak).
Q: What about a man saying to a guest: "Blessing visited me"?
The Shaykh: If by that he means that he hopes for blessing from Allah, or that you are blessed, if Allah wills, or a similar meaning.
