The Necessity of Reviewing and Revisiting the Noble Qur'an
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We are students memorizing the Noble Qur'an. At the end of our studies, we graduate having memorized the Noble Qur'an, but we have forgotten most of what we memorized. Are we sinful for that? What is the best solution to preserve this great treasure?
May Allah reward you. The best solution is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided us to, where he said: "Review this Qur'an, for by Him in whose hand is my soul, it is more likely to slip away than camels from their tether." So the remedy is for a person to repeat it frequently, and to dedicate the parts he has forgotten to increased repetition. As for memorizing and then forgetting what came before, that is a mistake.
