The Ruling on Isbal and Boycotting the One Who Practices Isbal

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
May Allah reward you, O Shaykh! Is isbal among the major sins, and is it permissible to boycott the one who practices isbal?
Isbal is among the major sins; for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) threatened those who do it, saying: (Three people will not be spoken to by Allah on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He look at them, nor purify them, and for them is a painful punishment. They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? They have failed and lost?He said: The one who lets his garment hang below the ankles, the one who shows off his charity, and the one who swears falsely to sell his goods) So it is among the major sins.
As for boycotting him, O my son! Know that boycotting is a medicine; if it benefits, use it, and if it does not benefit or makes the mud stickier, leave it. So if this man who lets his garment hang below the ankles, when we boycott him, he straightens out, feels ashamed, and says: How can I be like Samiri among the people, saying: No touching.
Then he lifts his garment, so boycott him.
If when you boycott him, he increases in sin, hates you, and abhors you, and incites people against you, then here do not boycott him. This principle is sufficient for you: Boycotting is a medicine; if it benefits, do it, and if it does not benefit, do not do it.
