The ruling on raising a rooster for the sake of hearing its crow

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! Is it permissible to raise a rooster to seek out hearing its crow, given that there is a hadith regarding this? May Allah reward you.
By Allah! I do not know about this, because what is prescribed for a person when he hears the crowing of a rooster is to ask Allah for His bounty. So he says: Is it permissible to keep a rooster so that when it crows, he asks Allah for His bounty? But I fear that your rooster might be mute.
This is what was reported from the Salaf, and praise be to Allah. You ask Allah for His bounty whether you hear the crow of a rooster or not; ask Allah for His bounty always.
