The ruling on combining the sacrificial animal in Makkah with the 'Id sacrifice at home

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is it a recommended practice (sunnah) for a person who offers a sacrificial animal during Hajj to also perform the 'Id sacrifice?

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: There is no 'Id sacrifice for the pilgrim; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform the 'Id sacrifice, but he offered one hundred camels, on behalf of seven hundred heads of sheep. However, if a person has a family who did not perform Hajj with him, and he instructed them to perform the 'Id sacrifice on his behalf and on their behalf.

The questioner: The question is, is it a recommended practice (sunnah)? The Shaykh: I told you: if he has a family, it is a recommended practice (sunnah) for him to provide them with a 'Id sacrifice on their behalf and his, if they did not perform Hajj with him. As for the pilgrims, they do not perform the 'Id sacrifice; rather, they offer the sacrificial animal of Hajj.

The questioner: Here is the problem, O Shaykh! I performed Hajj and I instructed my family, I gave them money so that they would offer the sacrifice.

The Shaykh: This is correct, this is a recommended practice (sunnah), and it is good, and this is what I told you twice.
