Ruling on purchasing establishments of evil and corruption and converting them into beneficial establishments

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Some people who love to spread good purchase certain establishments that spread evil, such as music recordings and the like, and convert them into establishments for spreading good. Is this action permissible, or is it sufficient to limit oneself to da'wah (calling to Islam) only?
If a person has the ability to purchase an establishment that spreads evil and corruption in order to convert it into a good and righteous establishment, this is among the best of deeds; because the benefit of this is far-reaching. However, there is a difficulty with this: you might purchase it, and then he goes and opens another establishment. If you know that this man is one who desires evil and will not refrain if you purchase his establishment, but rather he will take your money and open another establishment with it, then there is no benefit in purchasing it. This is a different case. Perhaps the country does not allow the opening of a new establishment that spreads vice. In that case, there is no doubt that it is beneficial if you purchase it and convert it into a good and righteous establishment. But if the door is open for anyone who wants to open an establishment to open whatever he wishes, then it is a problem. You might spend this money seeking good, but you will not get what you want. Therefore, spending it in another establishment is more beneficial for you and for the Muslims.
