The ruling on eating or drinking at the time of the Fajr adhan in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the ruling on one who drinks water in Ramadan while the mu'adhdhin is calling the adhan?
This depends on whether the mu'adhdhin only calls the adhan when he sees the dawn. If so, it is obligatory for him to abstain from the moment he hears it.But Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad with a good chain: (That if the vessel is in a person's hand, he should not put it down until he has satisfied his thirst from it).
As for when the mu'adhdhin calls the adhan based on the calendar, the matter is broad in this regard;Because if I were to say to these mu'adhdhins: Do you testify that the dawn has appeared? They said: We do not testify. You will find that in the Maghrib they call the adhan based on the time, and the trustworthy ones have informed me that they heard the mu'adhdhins calling the adhan while the sun had not yet set; because they do not observe the dawn nor do they observe the sun. And according to our current knowledge, the mu'adhdhins do not call the adhan for the dawn, but rather they call it based on the calendar in their hands. So the matter is broad in this regard. If he drinks while the adhan is being called, or eats something while the adhan is being called, there is no harm in it.

The questioner: He should make it up as a precaution, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh: By Allah, I do not know. Precaution is only taken when there is a basis for it.
