The ruling on keeping nails or what is removed from the body as a habit, or disposing of them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Some people, when they trim their nails, keep them or place them in a location. Is there a basis for this?

Some scholars say: The waste that a person removes, such as nails, pubic hair, armpit hair, and mustache hair, should be buried. A report (athar) was narrated regarding this from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father), but I do not recall a Sunnah from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on this matter. This may have been an independent legal reasoning (ijtihad) by Ibn 'Umar;Due to the generality of His saying, the Exalted:
From the earth We created you, and into it We will return youمِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ
[Taha:55] So if we take the generality of this, we say: everything that separates from the human body is to be returned to the earth. However, I do not recall a Sunnah on this matter, and Allah knows best. If a person buries them, there is nothing wrong with it, and if he throws them in any place, there is nothing wrong with it.
