Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (a favor from Us; thus We reward those who are grateful)]

Allah the Exalted said:
As favor from usنِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا
[Surah al-Qamar: 35] Meaning: We bestowed upon the family of Lut a favor from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in two ways: the first way is that Allah saved them.

And the second aspect: That Allah destroyed their enemy.
Because the destruction of the enemy is a favor from Allah, so the favor of Allah upon the family of Lut was through their salvation and the destruction of their enemy.
thus We reward those who are gratefulكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ شَكَرَ
[Surah al-Qamar: 35] Meaning: Like this reward, which is salvation and favor, We reward those who are grateful for the favor of Allah. And being grateful for the favor of Allah the Exalted—O my brothers—is acting in obedience to Him, not merely the person saying: is thanking Allah.
Rather, it is necessary to act in obedience,Therefore, whoever says: thanking Allah.
And if he remains in his sins, then he is not a grateful person; rather, he is a disbeliever regarding the favor, mocking Allah (Mighty and Majestic), for the implication of the favor is to thank Allah, but he reversed the matter,Allah the Exalted said:
(28) Have you not considered those who exchanged the favor of Allah for disbelief and settled their people [in] the home of ruin? (29) [It is] Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the settlement.
[Surah Ibrahim: 28-29] So whoever thanks Allah, Allah the Exalted will save him and destroy his enemy.
