Saying "I thank Allah and I thank you"
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 16826 )
Q 4: Is it considered a type of shirk (associating partners with Allah) for a person to say: "I thank Allah and I thank you"?
A 4: It is not permissible to use the conjunction "and" (waw) in the phrase "I thank Allah and I thank you"; because "and" implies equality, and what is obligatory is to say: "I thank Allah, then I thank you"; because "then" implies a delay in rank. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
