The Shaykh Al-Albani’s mention of the Qadiyyah sect and an explanation of the aspects of their misguidance.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : You hear that the Qadiyyah sect, these people, testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they fast, pray, pay zakah, and perform Hajj, and so on. But they disbelieved in one verse, and this is the greatest of matters. This is one of the most dangerous topics that Islamic preachers must address today. As I told you, they believe in all the pillars of Islam and faith, but they disbelieved in at least one verse. I say “at least,” for in fact they disbelieved in many verses. But did they disbelieve in their wording? The answer is no; they disbelieved in their meanings. That is why we said at the beginning of this talk that the early Companions received the Qur'an from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fresh and green, with its wording and its meanings. As for us today, we received the Qur'an with its wording certainly, but the meaning needs clarification, and that is the Sunnah. These Qadiyyah believed in all the wording of the Qur'an and disbelieved in many of the meanings of some of the verses. Among them is what Allah the Exalted said in the well-known verse:
but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets وَلَكِنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ
[Al-Ahzab 33:40]
. They said, “No, the Messenger is not the Seal of the Prophets; there are prophets who will come in the future, and one of them has already come.” Where did he spring from? From a village in India called Qadian. From there, the man grew up and sought knowledge as all Muslims do, but Satan entered him through the path of Sufism. The Sufis have a long, obscure history that is not our concern now. The point is that he claimed prophethood. He claimed prophethood, and thousands followed him. Today, the Qadiyyah are concentrated in Britain, in London. I saw there a mosque with the inscription “There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” but we learned that it was a Qadiyyah mosque. These people say regarding the previous verse:
but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets وَلَكِنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ
[Al-Ahzab 33:40]
. We believe this is a verse, but you, O Muslims, have misunderstood the verse. You understand the verse to mean that there is no prophet after the Messenger. No, that is a mistake. The correct understanding is
and the Seal of the Prophets وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ
; that is, “the adornment of the prophets,” just as the ring is the adornment of the prophets and the adornment of the fingers. So Muhammad is the adornment of the prophets. What is this called? It is ta'til (denial of the divine attributes), specifically the denial of the meanings of the Noble Qur'an. Among the examples of this denial, as we mentioned earlier, one of their people said that Allah is neither inside the world nor outside it. They judged Allah to be non-existent, and thus they joined the materialists. Now, what did Allah say?
They fear their Lord above them يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ
[An-Nahl 16:50]
. We reminded you of this verse. So Allah is above all created things. If they believe in these verses, then those who say that Allah is neither inside the world nor outside it are the same as the Qadiyyah, because the Qadiyyah also do not deny anything of the Qur'an in its wording, but they deny many of the meanings, including
but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets وَلَكِنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ
[Al-Ahzab 33:40]
; that is, “He is the adornment of the prophets,” just as the ring is the adornment of the fingers.
