The Ruling on Animated Cartoons Called Islamic Cartoons

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
His Eminence the Shaykh: Recently, some animated cartoons have appeared in Islamic recordings that they claim are Islamic. For example, the Conquest of Constantinople or the Journey of Peace, and most recently, the Boy of Najran, who is mentioned in Surat al-Buruj or in the hadith in Sahih Muslim. These animated cartoons are being made as a substitute for corrupt animated cartoons. What is the ruling on this, O Shaykh?
By Allah! I see that, if Allah wills, there is nothing wrong with them; because the reality is that, as you mentioned, they protect the children from forbidden things. So, at the very least, if we must be strict in our ruling, they are easier than the other cartoons they call cartoon films.Meaning: Those, as we have heard, contain doubt regarding the creed, and the depiction—may Allah protect us—from of the Lord, Mighty and Majestic, when it rains and the like. So in any case, I do not see anything wrong with them.

The questioner: In terms of them being drawn by hand—O Shaykh—do they take on the ruling of image-making?The Shaykh: The discussion is about the one who drew them. If there is any sin, it is upon him. As for us, we are watching something written and finished. Also, it appears that they are not drawn in the form of a human being.
-In the image of a human! An ordinary human? -An ordinary human, with beards, and turbans, and everything.
-It remains a matter for consideration. They do not attribute to any of the commanders of these conquests what he did not say. That is the problem. So I see that if there is nothing in them but good, there is nothing wrong with them, if Allah wills.
And if they are accompanied by music, this is not permissible; because music is from the musical instruments that are forbidden.
