Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (But as for he who is among the near ones, then [he will have] a pleasant [departure])
Then Allah the Exalted divided those who are dying into three categories,So he said: [Al-Waqi'ah: 88-89] May Allah make us among them. (But as for he who is among the near ones) are those who performed the obligatory acts and abandoned the forbidden ones, and they performed the recommended acts and kept themselves away from the disliked ones -Meaning: they completed their religion - and the near ones are the foremost, the foremost, who were mentioned at the beginning of the surah, the foremost in good deeds.
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:89] The exegetes differed regarding His saying: (FAROUH) It was said: a pleasant [departure]; because the believer, although he dislikes death, finds rest in it; because he is given glad tidings at the time of death with a pleasant [departure] and sweet fragrance, and a Lord pleased, not angry. So he is pleased and rejoices, and he does not dislike death at that time, but he loves meeting Allah Mighty and Majestic. And this is undoubtedly rest for him from the hardship, toil, worries, and sorrows of this world,And it was said: "Ruh" means mercy, as Allah the Exalted said about Ya'qub when he said to his sons: [Yusuf: 87] meaning: from His mercy. And this meaning is more comprehensive than the first, because mercy is more comprehensive than being rest or rest accompanied by the attainment of the desired goal. And if the meaning is more comprehensive, then interpreting the verse with it is more appropriate,Therefore: so "Ruh" -Meaning: mercy - and from mercy comes rest.
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:89] It was said: the meaning of "Rayhan" is everything that pleases the soul, and it is not specific to the sweet-smelling or pleasant scent of "rayhan"; rather, it is everything in which there is rest and pleasure for the soul, whether it is food, drink, clothing, a spouse, or a scent,And it was said: the meaning of "Rayhan" is the pleasant scent, like the known "rayhan". Which is more comprehensive? The first is more comprehensive, so the verse is interpreted with it.
meaning: a Paradise in which he is blessed, and it is the abode that Allah prepared for His awliya (close friends of Allah) - may Allah make us and you among them - a Paradise of bliss in which a person is blessed in his body and his heart, so he does not get tired or toil, and he does not get sick or grieve, and he does not worry or be distressed, but he is in perpetual bliss. In this world there is bliss, but its bliss is spoiled, as the poet said:
A day upon us and a day for us, a day we are wronged and a day we are pleased
So this is the world. If you are pleased one day, prepare for being wronged the next day. And if you are wronged one day, you may be pleased the next day or you may not be pleased. In any case, Paradise in the Hereafter is an abode of bliss in the heart and an abode of bliss in the body.
Then Allah the Exalted divided those who are dying into three categories,So he said:
(88) And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, (89) Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.
فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ * فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍThen [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.
فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍO my sons, go and find out about Joseph and his brother and despair not of relief from Allah
يَابَنِيَّ اذْهَبُوا فَتَحَسَّسُوا مِنْ يُوسُفَ وَأَخِيهِ وَلا تَيْأَسُوا مِنْ رَوْحِ اللَّهِbounty and a garden of pleasure.
وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍand a garden of bliss
وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍA day upon us and a day for us, a day we are wronged and a day we are pleased
So this is the world. If you are pleased one day, prepare for being wronged the next day. And if you are wronged one day, you may be pleased the next day or you may not be pleased. In any case, Paradise in the Hereafter is an abode of bliss in the heart and an abode of bliss in the body.
