Question:
What are the deeds that make a Muslim among the forerunners who are close to Him, and is it possible for a person to perform causes that would make him among those close to Allah?
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. As for what follows, the close ones are those who fulfilled the obligatory and recommended acts, and left the forbidden, disliked, and some permissible acts out of caution. These are the close ones. (And the forerunners, the forerunners, are those who are brought near, in gardens of pleasure).
