Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Are your disbelievers better than those?)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Qamar: 43] The address here is to Quraysh,Meaning: Are your disbelievers better than these previous nations whom Allah destroyed, [Al-Qamar: 43] meaning: Or do you have a certificate of innocence in the scriptures that Allah the Exalted is absolving you from the consequences of your actions? What is the answer? Neither this nor that.
Either their disbelievers are better than the previous disbelievers, or they have a certificate of innocence from Allah the Mighty and Majestic, written by Allah for them, saying, "We will not punish you." None of this was the case. Their disbelievers are not better than the previous disbelievers, and they have no certificate of innocence in the scriptures.

أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَئِكُمْor have you immunity in the scripture?
أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِEither their disbelievers are better than the previous disbelievers, or they have a certificate of innocence from Allah the Mighty and Majestic, written by Allah for them, saying, "We will not punish you." None of this was the case. Their disbelievers are not better than the previous disbelievers, and they have no certificate of innocence in the scriptures.
