Discussion on the criteria for declaring someone a disbeliever

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Greetings. What about the case of someone who is dead and has gone to his Lord, and He will judge him? We are not concerned with issuing rulings of takfir (declaring someone a disbeliever), because the judgment is not in our hands to distinguish between the disbeliever and the Muslim. Rather, we say that this statement is kufr (disbelief). So whoever says it, as I said just now, with awareness and intention of what he is saying, is undoubtedly a disbeliever. We do not apply the term takfir, meaning exiting the religion, to any person except by an explicit text from the Infallible. Perhaps the speech is clear. Good. Others? May peace be upon you.
