The Sunnah prayers after the Friday prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
How do you reconcile the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (When one of you prays Friday, let him pray four [rak'ahs] afterward) with his action (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that he used to pray two rak'ahs at home? May Allah preserve you?

The scholars differed on this, and some of them said: He prays six: two are established by the practical Sunnah, and four by the verbal Sunnah. This is one opinion.

Second opinion: That the verbal statement is the decisive one, meaning he prays four, so the Sunnah of Friday is only four.

The third view: The detailed ruling: If he prays in the mosque, he prays four; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: (When one of you prays Friday, let him pray four afterward) and he did not restrict it, so if he prays in the mosque, it is four, and if he prays at home, it is two. This is the choice of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him), meaning the detailed ruling. And praise be to Allah, the matter is broad, meaning: If he went to his house and prayed four with two taslims, that would be good and would not cause harm, if Allah wills.
