Doubling the funeral prayer in the Makkah Haram
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is the funeral prayer in the Makkah Haram doubled in reward, like the other prayers, in terms of the qirats?
There is scholarly disagreement on this matter. Some scholars say: What is doubled in the Sacred Mosque is only the five daily prayers; the others are not doubled. However, what appears from the hadith is the generality of the wording, and the prayer over the deceased falls within this generality, so it is doubled in the Sacred Mosque. And Allah knows best.
