A Response to Those Who Advocate for the Gathering of the People of the Sunnah with the Rafidah
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is your opinion of this statement, O Shaykh! He says: We, the people of the Sunnah, must extend our hands to the Rafidah, shake their hands, smile at them, sit with them, laugh with them, talk to them, visit them and have them visit us, and reconnect what has been severed between us and them. We must dialogue and consult, and we must cooperate with them. We cooperate in what we agree upon, and we dialogue about what we differ in, thus combining cooperation and dialogue. We do not want them to compromise, nor do we compromise; each remains in his place and in his belief, while continuing cooperation and dialogue. This is because we do not want the Ummah to become more scattered than the scattering it already lives in, nor to be more torn apart than the tearing it is currently experiencing. We do not want the Ummah to continue cursing one another and insulting one another. The Ummah needs cooperation because we are living a bitter reality. We cooperate and dialogue in order to lift it out of its bitter reality. There is no need for some of us to provoke others. So if you, O Rafidi, want to curse Abu Hurayrah, curse him in your house, but do not curse him in public.
until he said: I found that the Shi'ah madhhab is a collection of errors that were gathered and it was said: this is the Shi'ah madhhab. If we took some of the mistakes of some of the scholars of the people of the Sunnah, like Ibn Hazm for example, or the great scholars of the Ummah in reliable and well-known books, there would be serious problems. And this is found in all places. And if you gathered them and put them in a book and said: This is the madhhab of the people of the Sunnah and the community from their books.Meaning: In his own wording. He said: By Allah! We would be disbelievers.
We say: This statement is wrong. Can anyone permit cursing Abu Hurayrah, neither in public nor in private, given what Allah has bestowed upon him and upon the Ummah by transmitting these great hadiths, through which a great wealth of the Shari'ah was obtained?
In any case: This person must fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in himself, and he must return from what he wrote or what he delivered on a tape. This is not possible. This is a rejected and refuted statement. O Allah, guide us among those You have guided.
As for the gathering of the Ummah, there is no doubt that it is obligatory. As Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Al-Imran: 103] But obligatory based on what? Based on the guidance of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions, not based on desires. (Hold fast to the rope of Allah) He began with the rope before saying: (all together) And the rope of Allah is His religion and His Shari'ah. As for agreeing through flattery, this is a mistake. For this reason, we find the scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) refuting the innovators and holding that it is obligatory for them to return to the truth.
