The Criterion for Boycotting the Sinner

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
What is the criterion for boycotting a sinner whose sin has not been made public to people, if there is a benefit in boycotting him?

The Criterion: Boycotting the sinner, if there is a benefit in it such that the sinner returns from his sin, then let him be boycotted. But if there is no benefit in it, then boycotting him is forbidden; because the sinner is a Muslim, even if he committed what he committed of major sins, except for disbelief. If he disbelieves, that is known. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (It is not permissible for a Muslim to boycott his brother for more than three days. They meet, and this one turns away and that one turns away, and the best of them is the one who begins with the greeting of peace) So do not boycott him. And because some sinners, if you boycott them, increase in their sin, and they also hate you, and do not accept any advice from you. But if boycotting him is beneficial, as if one of the sons or one of the brothers is someone who respects you, and if you boycott him he refrains, then here boycott him until he refrains. If the expectation is disappointed—Meaning: that you boycotted him but he did not refrain—then return and greet him, and do not forget the advice.
