Distinguishing between those who call for purification alone and those who call for purification combined with education.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : These people do not do anything related to education, but they may do a great deal related to purification. When these people become numerous, it is necessary that they divide into two groups: one group that focuses exclusively on continuing the purification, and another group that focuses on education. To put it briefly, we should now have guides and preachers like those of the past, such as Ibn al-Jawzi, who would seize the hearts of the attendees so that some of the polytheists and disbelievers, including Jews and Christians, would be affected by him because of the sweetness of his speech. As you know, if speech comes from the heart, it enters the heart, but if it comes from the mouth, it does not go beyond the ears. Ibn al-Jawzi was one of the preachers who is cited as an example. He was knowledgeable of the Book and the Sunnah, especially the Sunnah, from which he purified a great deal in some of his authored books, such as *Al-Mawdu'at* (Fabricated Hadiths) and *Al-'Ilal al-Mutanahiyyat* (The Ultimate Causes) and the like. I do not believe that we have anyone of this type now, but there must be, and that is through the continuation of purification and education. May Allah (Mighty and Majestic) make that happen soon.
