What is the ruling on using a clock to determine the timing of dhikr, meaning that if I set it for ten minutes, for example, I can use it to recite a specific dhikr in accordance with the Sunnah? Is that permissible?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The ruling on using a clock to determine the timing of dhikr, for example: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) established as a Sunnah that a person should say after Fajr:
There is no god but Allah, alone, having no partner, to Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise, and He is over all things competent, a hundred times; no one will come on the Day of Resurrection with anything better than this, except one who said what he said or more.
So, for instance, I say ten minutes, and I know that I am saying more than a hundred; is that permissible?

The Shaykh: No.

The questioner : It is not permissible.

The Shaykh : You need to count a hundred.

The questioner : If Allah wills.
