Is it permissible for a Muslim woman to wear high heels?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : If a woman wears high heels in her shoes, is that permissible for her? What is the ruling?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible to imitate the disbelieving women or the sinful women. The origin of this is from the Jewish women. In the past, before Islam, if one of them wanted to attend a gathering where her lover was present, she would wear a type of high platform so that she would appear tall and be seen. Over time, this turned into wearing high-heeled shoes. As for this type of shoe that causes a woman—meaning—her gait to change, tilting to the right and left, and for that reason the sinful disbelievers invented this type of shoe, it is not befitting for the committed Muslim woman to wear a shoe with a high heel, especially since in many cases it is the cause of her harm and falling on her head if she stumbles on the road for the slightest reason.
