What should a woman do if her menstruation comes in an irregular manner?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Her menstruation is disturbed and does not settle. One of our brother doctors told me to refer her to the hospital so they can examine her with an ultrasound machine. I told him that it is not permissible to expose her 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) for this matter alone, because that is not permissible except out of dire necessity. What is the dire necessity here? Then he said, "What should we do?" Allah knows best, I do not know, but what comes to mind is that she must ask her mother. It is possible that the mother experienced this at that age and it did not affect her daughter, and you can see how she handled the issue. Perhaps this is a stage that some virgins must go through, and then the menstruation settles and is no longer disturbed. Do you have any information or reports regarding menstruation?
Al-Halabi : I am new to such matters. I know that many women may have, for example, a disturbance in their habit or menstruation, and then with certain pills—pills that do this thing, making it settle. What do they call it? Regulating the habit, organizing the habit.
The student : Pregnancy pills... medication.
Al-Halabi : Even if she is a girl, they give her pills to regulate the cycle.

The Shaykh : This is good talk.

The questioner : And the doctor says that after marriage, the treatment now costs money, and the treatment now requires some examination.

The Shaykh : Why?

The questioner : She mentioned that regarding the disturbance of the cycle in terms of its days, the ovulation, its descent and ascent, requires examination. But if the doctor says there is no effect, and that after marriage the habit will regulate itself, then if the habit does not regulate after marriage, she gives her contraceptive pills, because contraceptive pills prevent the disturbance and regulate it by days, because the contraceptive pills are arranged by days. So as long as she takes the pill, it does not come. So now, the pills they asked about during the days of Hajj, and that these pills delay the cycle for the sake of Hajj, and they asked about them during Hajj.

The Shaykh : The thing we must know from some doctors is, for example, this girl who is being discussed, if she is left to her own devices, what is her future from a health perspective? Is there harm to her? Because the issue is that her menstruation is disturbed, and this is mentioned in the books of fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and has a treatment, especially regarding her prayer and fasting, and her husband coming to her, and so on.
But the medical research, if she is left like this. Because when we say that it is not permissible to expose her to a doctor for this issue, this is based on the assumption that there is no disease. But do the doctors say that this has a very bad consequence for the girl's health? Is there something of that, or not?

The questioner : By Allah, we presented her to Dr. Karima when these things happened with the girl, so we conveyed this matter to Dr. Karima, and she said there is only one thing, which is the matter that perhaps in the beginning of her marriage there is no pregnancy. And she did not mention other symptoms.

The Shaykh : This is not sterility, it is not a dire necessity.

The questioner : Yes, exactly.
Al-Halabi : So when I brought him the evidence I mentioned, that Abu Nu'aym in al-Hilyah and al-Baghawi in Sharh al-Sunnah and in Dhāt al-'Ala say: "It is authentic and al-Bukhari narrated it." He said, "This talk applies to children, not to me, because they leave out the isnad (chain of narration) and say this isnad is authentic, meaning their isnad to al-Bukhari, and then they say al-Bukhari narrated it."

The Shaykh : Its isnad is to al-Bukhari.
Al-Halabi : Ah, it is not like al-Dhahabi or Abu Nu'aym saying: "Narrated to us so-and-so from so-and-so... its isnad is from al-Bukhari." When he says the isnad is authentic, he means the same isnad. But when he says al-Bukhari narrated it, it is the same thing regarding al-Bukhari's isnad.

The Shaykh : No, but this is simplicity, because the author of al-Sunnah, whom he served in his claim, says this hadith is authentic and agreed upon.
Al-Halabi : Yes, authentic. I brought him something stronger than this. I said to him, "Professor, in your comments on the definition of the Khalaf (the later generations) regarding the men of the Salaf (the earliest generations), you used to say this hadith is authentic, al-Muslim narrated it, and this one without an isnad, and you mentioned the hadiths." So he was silent. Look here, Professor, without an isnad above.

The Shaykh : No, but he mentioned the isnad in an attempt to get out of the fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), meaning the speech is clear from this. Yes.
Al-Halabi : He says al-Muslim narrated it.

The Shaykh : And he says, "Authentic hadith, al-Muslim narrated it... May Allah help us."
