Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: O Shaykh, I am a student about to enter university, but my father is forcing me to go abroad to complete my studies with free mixing of men and women. I am a committed young man and I want to enter the College of Sharia. What should I do? Should I disobey him? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds
If this matter is as the questioner described, meaning that he is committed and fears for himself that if he travels to a foreign country he may stumble and go astray, then it is permissible for him not to travel, even if his father orders him to do so. However, he should be tactful with his father and explain the matter to him in the best manner, so that he may be convinced by it. As for going to a foreign country while he fears for himself, that is not permissible.
