The Fourth Category: Those Who Memorize the Qur'an and Those Who Seek Knowledge.

The Shaykh : Some people take advantage of this vacation by memorizing the Noble Qur'an, especially the young people. You will find that he memorizes from the Noble Qur'an during this vacation what he does not memorize during the days of study, because he will be completely free. Some people take advantage of this vacation by seeking knowledge from the scholars. They choose from among the scholars the one they consider the most knowledgeable and most trustworthy, and they learn from him. They obtain in this vacation of knowledge and blessing what they do not obtain at other times, namely during the regular study periods. Some people take advantage of this vacation by helping their families. If they are farmers, they help in farming; if they are merchants, they help in trade. They benefit and are of benefit. Some people take advantage of this vacation by killing time and not benefiting from it. You will find him wandering in the markets and staying up late on the sidewalks, not caring about anything, as if he has been released from a bond just to romp and wander without benefit. What I advise the young people in particular, and all people in general, is to seize the opportunity and not to waste a single minute of time except in what is beneficial and useful. If it happens that a person is unable to sit with one of the scholars to learn, and he has, for example, memorized the Qur'an, let him take a text from the hadith, fiqh, or creed texts and memorize it. If that is not possible, let him review the lessons he will study in the coming year, so that he may obtain much good. The soul is what it is accustomed to. If a person is accustomed to wandering in the markets and his life passing in vain, he will not be serious afterwards. And if he is accustomed to being serious in all his circumstances, seriousness will be easy for him in all his circumstances.
