The first category: those who travel abroad.

The Shaykh : Some of them spend their time traveling abroad, to foreign lands, to lands of disbelief, may Allah protect us from that. He goes with his family to those lands, and as a result, harms occur. First: the waste of large amounts of money, such as travel tickets, hotel expenses, and other huge sums. Second: he may not be safe from doctrinal deviation or moral corruption. Even if he is safe, the image of those lands may remain in the minds of the children: lands where the call to prayer is not heard, where congregational prayer is not established, where there are no mosques, only churches and the monasteries of the Jews, and where one hears only the bells of the Christians and the trumpets of the Jews. This image may be imprinted in the mind of the child and never forgotten. Therefore, reflect on yourselves: the things you witnessed when you were young remain imprinted in your minds and do not disappear. Among the harms of traveling abroad is that it distances a person from his family, relatives, brothers, and companions, and they may need him one day, or he may need them one day. And among the harms of traveling abroad is that grave harm: if a man goes without his family, Satan may incite him to commit the great sin, which is unlawful sexual intercourse, may Allah protect us from that. Or he may be deceived by the statement of some scholars that it is permissible for a stranger to marry with the intention of divorcing when he travels to his homeland. The scholars who said this did not say it is permissible for a man to travel in order to marry. Yet some who do not fear Allah have taken this statement as a means to travel in order to marry for the duration of their stay, for the duration of their stay in the lands they traveled to. It has been reported to us that a man goes there and marries a woman for a week, then divorces her and marries another, and marries four or five women in one month. We ask Allah for safety. Although it is not permissible for a man to marry more than four women, and a divorced woman in the waiting period is considered a wife, so he cannot marry a fifth until the waiting period of the fourth ends if he divorces her. This matter is serious. This is a group of people; a group of people during this vacation go to foreign lands and encounter evil and corruption, of which Allah is most aware.
