Is the repentance of the murderer valid, with evidence?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Now, what do you say about a man who killed a person? I mean, he did not attack his wealth to take it, nor his honor to defile it, but he killed him. Is his repentance valid? Does anyone know? Yes?

The questioner : The scholars differed on this. Some scholars said that he has no repentance because he killed a believing soul, while others said that he should do good deeds and repent to Allah.

The Shaykh : And repenting means he has a repentance. These are two opinions from scholars of knowledge.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Correct, they contradict each other. Now, please, stand up.

The questioner : He has no repentance, because a soul is for a soul, as it is in the Quranic verse.

The Shaykh : Now, rest. It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and him) that the murderer has no repentance; that the murderer has no repentance. But what is narrated from him is not valid in its absolute sense, because the stronger opinion is that the murderer has repentance by the text of the Quran. Listen to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء
[An-Nisa 4:48]
This includes this killing. No, no, recite the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins قل يا عبادي الذين أسرفوا على أنفسهم لا تقنطوا من رحمة الله إن الله يغفر الذنوب جميعا
[Az-Zumar 39:53]
So the first is for the one who did not repent, and the second is for the one who repented, and it is comprehensive. Recite the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(68) And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. (69) Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - (70) Except for those who repent
[Al-Furqan 25:68-70]
"Except for the one who repents." It returns to what? To everything mentioned before, including "and do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right." So the murderer has repentance. Yes, the murderer has repentance. And if the text indicates the ruling of a matter, do not care about whoever contradicts this text. Otherwise, as for Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and him), regarding his statement about the blood money he deserves, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about him:
O Allah, give him understanding in the religion and teach him interpretation اللهم فقهه في الدين وعلمه التأويل
But that does not mean that he is infallible, and despite that.
