From the legacy of the Prophets (peace be upon them all): Good character.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The third matter: that one should inherit from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) the character regarding which Allah the Exalted said about His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
And indeed, you are of a great moral character وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
,
And indeed, you are of a great moral character وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ
. For this reason, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was the best of people in character. Whoever wants more of this should read the last book of the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him), titled *The Correct Answer for Whoever Changed the Religion of Jesus*. In its end, he mentioned words that should be written in gold regarding the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his character, and his signs. My brother, you must have good character. You cannot satisfy people with your provision, no matter how much money you have, but with good character, you can please them all if your character is good. Do you not know that a Bedouin once came to the Messenger (peace be upon him) and pulled his garment forcefully until it left a mark on his neck, and said: "Divide, O Muhammad. The Bedouins love money." He said: "Divide." And the Messenger (peace be upon him) did not say anything to him, but turned and smiled, even though his status is the highest of the statuses of human beings, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him. But he treated people with good character. If you want to be respected, honored, and accepted among them, you must have good character. And always keep before your eyes the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
Take what is given freely, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant. خُذِ الْعَفْوَ وَأْمُرْ بِالْعُرْفِ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْجَاهِلِينَ
[Al-A'raf 7:199]
Take what is easy خُذِ الْعَفْوَ
meaning: take what is easy and simple from the character of people. Do not burden people with a matter you want them to be upon. No, you be upon it, and the people will not be upon it. Treat people with good character, and take what is easy from them. And what is missed, do not strive to seek it. Be lenient, and turn away from them, so that you may be upon the character of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
We ask Allah the Exalted to grant us and you the ability to follow him outwardly and inwardly, to cause us to die upon His religion, to gather us in His group, to give us to drink from His pool, and to make our eyes pleased with it in His abode of honor. Indeed, He is capable of all things. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. And to the questions, which we hope Allah the Exalted will grant us success in answering correctly.
