Discussion of the trial of intellectual and moral invasion through media channels.

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own souls and from the badness of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whoever He misleads, no one can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. Allah sent him with guidance and the religion of truth. He conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the Muslim community, and struggled in the cause of Allah with true struggle. May Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows:
O my brothers, this is the thirty-ninth session of the monthly gathering that takes place on the night of the third Sunday of every month. Our month this time is Jumada al-Thani, year 1417. I ask Allah the Exalted to increase the beneficial gatherings among Muslims, between their youth and their elders, between their scholars and their students. Indeed, He is capable of all things. O my brothers: Where are we heading? Where are we heading? And where are we turning? Are we living as beasts live? Are we living as livestock live, having no concern except filling the belly and satisfying the sexual desire? Where are we going? In reality, this is a great question upon which the present and future life of man depends. In truth, we know where we are going, we know for what we are living, and we know why we were created in this life, from a single word from the speech of Allah Mighty and Majestic, which is the saying of Allah the Exalted: And His worship is tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and carrying out His obedience by doing what is commanded and leaving what is forbidden. Allah the Exalted has honored the children of Adam and preferred them over many of those He created, with a special preference. He created for them everything on earth so that they may benefit from it and use it to assist them in what they were created for, which is worship. Allah has honored the children of Adam and preferred them over many of those He created, with a special preference, when He subjected for them what is in the heavens and what is on the earth, as Allah Mighty and Majestic said: And He the Exalted said: But have we used this that is subjected to us and created for us for the purpose for which we were created, or have we neglected what we were created for and occupied ourselves with what was created for us? The answer is that many of the children of Adam are in this state; they have left what they were created for and occupied themselves with what was created for them. And that which indicates this to you is the saying of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He: Who are the most numerous on earth, O my brothers? Answer. The disbelievers. The disbelievers are the most numerous on earth. If we obey them, they will mislead us from the path of Allah: Most of the people of the earth are misguided; they are not on guidance: But do you know if any of these people on earth issue orders in the form of: “Do this”? Answer. No, they do not issue orders in the form of: “Do this.” And if they did issue that, they would expose themselves, and their error would become apparent. But they infiltrate the body of the Islamic community, just as fire spreads in charcoal or as poison spreads in the body. They command us indirectly with the degradation of morals, the sculpting of ideas, and the corruption of religions, through the types of intellectual, moral, financial, economic, and social invasion they launch against us, with all the power they can muster. For they know that if the field between us and them were in morals and worship, the victory would belong to whom? Answer, O people? To the Muslims. They know that, but they have not confronted us in a way that reveals their hatred, enmity, and animosity. Rather, they have smuggled these morals into us through the media, through the media. For this reason, you find them earnest day and night in selecting the enticing methods and the obscene images they broadcast via satellite. And there is no doubt that this is from the trial of Allah Mighty and Majestic for His servants: They have facilitated these paths until they have brought their vile morals and their deviant ideas into our lands, into our homes, into our rooms, into our schools. That is only for a wisdom, as a test from Allah Mighty and Majestic. And Allah the Exalted tests His servants by facilitating the means of sin, to try them: which of them will be patient, or which of them will descend? Have you not known, O your brothers and your predecessors, when they were tested by the facilitation of the means of sin, but they refrained? Allah tested the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) while they were in the state of ihram (the consecrated state of pilgrimage) with some game. We all know that the one in ihram is forbidden from hunting, even if he is outside the sacred precinct, because hunting captivates the heart, and if a person were to follow it, he would forget that he is in ihram. So it was forbidden for him so that he would not be occupied with it to the neglect of his ihram. Allah forbade them from hunting, but He tested them, tested them, with some game that their hands and spears could reach. That is, one who catches the game with his hand or with his spear. The scholars said: They catch the creeping game with the hand, like a rabbit, and they catch the flying game with the spear, without an arrow, so that He the Exalted may try them: which of them will be patient regarding this hunting, or which will not? This is a facilitation of what? Of the paths of sin. Pay attention, O boy! It is a facilitation of the paths of sin so that the servant may be tested: will he be patient from it or not? So what was their response? They were patient, they abandoned it, and they left it. Perhaps they were hungry and in need of food, but Allah had forbidden it. We are now in a tribulation, in our current time, in a trial, in a tribulation. These satellites through which our enemies, the Jews, the Christians, the communists, and others, broadcast what destroys our beliefs, destroys our morals, and destroys our societies, are among the greatest trials. These powerful, advancing media channels have misled many people, either directly or indirectly. We spoke about satellite dishes two weeks or more ago and clarified that they are destructive to morals, and that they are destructive even to belief. For I tell you, O my brothers: When the morals of the people are destroyed and their modesty is raised, what is destroyed? Their religion and their belief. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Where is the modesty of a people who broadcast among us young men and women, unveiled and displaying their adornment? You find this woman embracing the young man. When the young man and the young woman see this scene, he is a human being; desire sweeps him to a deep place. They bring doubts even regarding belief, as we have heard that they compare the accumulated clouds with an old man above them pouring barrels of water onto them! As if they are saying: This old man is Allah, may Allah protect us from that. May Allah fight them. And so on, of the disturbing and shameful things. The Muslims are now being tested and deluded by this. We hear that by the abundance of wealth and the plenty of provision that Allah has bestowed upon us, rest houses have been built, and gardens have been built, and people gather there, from elders, middle-aged men, youth, and teenagers, gathering there until late hours of the night. And it has reached us that they bring these satellite dishes with them to stay up watching them, may Allah protect us from that. And it has also reached us that they carry shisha to smoke with, and they carry packs of cigarettes to smoke with, and they have musical instruments and music that corrupt their morals. Why? Why is not each one of us a guardian over his children? Where did you go? Why were you late in sleeping? You are accountable, you will be reckoned! Do you think that you will not be asked about these blessings with which you are being tested today? Absolutely, a person must be asked, as He the Exalted said: You will be asked about the blessing while you see the Hellfire: We must ask where these young men went.
