Is it permissible to fast to make up missed days one day before Ramadan, for example: Is it permissible to fast next Wednesday?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A woman asks: O honorable Shaykh, is it permissible to fast next Wednesday, if Allah wills, to make up for a previous day? Is it permissible or not?

The Shaykh : Yes. First, we say: whoever has missed days from Ramadan to make up should start from tomorrow. Is it not the day after Tuesday? He should start from tomorrow, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade anyone from fasting one or two days before Ramadan. But if it is not possible—for example, if a woman has her menstruation preventing her from fasting—then there is no harm in her fasting on Wednesday or Thursday, provided it is not part of Ramadan. Yes.
