I am a young man who wants to perform Hajj, but my mother refuses to let me go, claiming she is afraid for me. Should I perform Hajj?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The honorable Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) says: I am a young man who wants to perform Hajj, but my mother refuses to let me go, claiming she is afraid for me?

The Shaykh : If you are able to perform Hajj with your own money, then perform it, even if she prevents you, unless you know that your mother is one of the sensitive women who, if you went, would not sleep at night and would not be at peace in her life. In that case, sit and do not perform Hajj. Intend that you are sitting for her sake and that you will perform Hajj next year. However, if she tells you not to perform Hajj and you know that if you resolve to go and perform it, she will not care, then perform Hajj.
Yes.
