The spread among women of what is called Islamic video, which displays animated images and Islamic plays, and many people have introduced it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A woman asks: O honorable Shaykh, what is called Islamic video has spread among women, which displays animated images and Islamic plays. Many people have introduced it. I want it for my children, but my husband refuses to let the device into the house. What is the ruling on this?

The Shaykh : The husband has authority in the house, because the house is his and the family is his. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for his flock الرجل راع في أهل بيته ومسئول عن رعيته
. If her husband forbids her from bringing this film into the house, she must obey him. It is not permissible for her to bring it in without his consent. However, she should try to convince him that if these films are permissible, there is no harm in them, so that he is convinced and agrees. As for forcing him to accept this or mistreating him in their relationship until he yields to her, that is forbidden for her.
