The Shaykh : I see that the father erred in preventing his son from entering the institutes, because we are in an age where a person does not benefit himself or others unless he obtains a degree. So my advice to this man is to let his children study in whatever institutes, schools, or other institutions suit their circumstances, provided that the knowledge there is beneficial knowledge. If he is in need of service, he can, if Allah has made him wealthy, hire a servant to be with him to fulfill his needs. As for depriving his son of knowledge just because he needs him, that involves some harm to the son. Yes.
