We are a group of young men who gather in a place for entertainment and playing football, then the mosque calls the adhan and we hear the call

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says: May the Shaykh be respected, we are a group of young men who gather in a place for entertainment and playing football, then the mosque calls the adhan and we hear the call. Is it permissible for us to pray in congregation in our place, or what should we do? Guide us, may Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : First, before we speak to the answer of the question, we say: playing football, in my opinion, there is nothing wrong with it sometimes, on the condition that the clothing is not short, meaning: the clothing must cover what is between the knee and the navel, this is necessary, and it is not permissible for it to be short such that something of the thigh is visible, not because the thigh is 'awrah (the part of the body that must be covered), but because young men are a fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), their matter is difficult, so the clothing must be covering, and the minimum that can be permitted in my view is that what is between the navel and the knee must be covered, and the rest is fine.
But Allah has permitted trade وَأَحَلَّ اللَّهُ الْبَيْعَ
[Al-Baqarah 2:275]
What is it?
And He has forbidden riba (usury or interest) وَحَرَّمَ الرِّبا
And He forbade trade after the second call of Friday so that it would not divert from the remembrance of Allah, so He said:
O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade
[Al-Jumu'ah 62:9]
This trade is halal (lawful) by the text of the Qur'an, and yet, if it distracts from the obligatory, it becomes obligatory to avoid by the text of the Qur'an. Football is among the mubah (permissible) things, because we do not see a prohibition from the Shari'ah (Islamic sacred law) regarding it, but if it distracts from an obligatory duty, it becomes haram (forbidden), because it distracts from what? From an obligatory duty. The third condition: that there be nothing in it that is offensive in words or actions, that there be nothing in it that is offensive in words or actions. As for words, for example: that some of them curse each other, or mock each other, or similar words that we may not know, but if they contain what is haram (forbidden), they are haram (forbidden). And among the offensive actions: that when one of them wins, they run at him and climb on his shoulder, and similar actions that are not befitting a human being. It is not befitting for a Muslim to reach this level. How many are these? How many conditions? Three conditions. Because the offensive words and actions are considered one. As for the answer to the question: if they hear the adhan (the call to prayer) without the loudspeaker, meaning: that they are close to the mosque, then it is obligatory for them to pray in the mosque. But if they are far away, and without the loudspeaker they would not have heard it, then there is nothing wrong with them all praying in their place, but they must hasten to pray the Zuhr (the midday prayer), the 'Asr (the afternoon prayer), and the Maghrib (the sunset prayer). As for the 'Isha' (the night prayer), it is better that they delay it until a third of the night. Yes.
