The questioner : He wants to reconcile the hadith reported from Imam Ahmad, who stated that his fast is not valid, because it was reported from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in "al-Muwatta" that he said:
Whoever is in a state of major ritual impurity at dawn has no fast من أصبح جنباً فلا صوم له

How do we reconcile this hadith with what was reported from 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would be overtaken by the dawn in Ramadan while in a state of major ritual impurity, without having had a wet dream"?
