Is it permissible to bury a deceased person inside a mosque, given that I see many people burying their dead in the rear of mosques?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to bury a deceased person inside a mosque, given that I see many people burying their dead in the rear of mosques?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible to bury a deceased person in a mosque, because a mosque is not a cemetery, and because there is a fear of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) arising from a grave buried in the place of worship of the Muslims. Even if a man bequeaths that he be buried in a mosque, that bequest is invalid and it is not permissible to carry it out. He should be buried with the Muslims so that the directions of the graves are uniform. If it happens that he is buried in the mosque, it is obligatory to dig him up and remove him from the mosque, lest the people’s time with it lengthen and they end up worshipping that grave. Yes.

The questioner : This is a listener from Iraq. The listener is Safwan Khalil Sa'id from the Ninawa Governorate.
