What are the ornaments that a man is permitted to wear?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What are the ornaments that a man is permitted to wear?

The Shaykh : First, a man should not resort to adorning himself or place himself in the position of a woman, having no concern other than improving his appearance, for this is among the matters of women. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said:
(17) And when one of them is given good tidings of that which he attributes to the Most Merciful in comparison, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. (18) So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]?
[Az-Zukhruf 43:17-18]
meaning, like one who does not adorn himself with jewelry, and he is clear in the dispute. The one who adorns himself with jewelry and is not clear in the dispute is the woman, and the one who does not adorn himself with jewelry and is clear in the dispute is the man. Therefore, a man should not lower himself to the status of a female by adorning himself with jewelry. For this reason, wearing gold is forbidden for a man, whether it is a necklace, a bracelet, or a ring, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding gold and silk:
It is made lawful for the women of my Ummah and forbidden for the men. حل لإناث أمتي حرام على ذكورها
And for a woman, all gold that is customary is permitted, whether it is rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, or anything else that is customary to wear. As for what is not customary to wear because it is extravagance, then extravagance is not permissible in clothing, nor in eating and drinking, nor in anything else, due to the saying of the Exalted:
And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess. وَلا تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
[Al-An'am 6:141]
.
As for a man wearing a ring of silver, it is permissible and there is no harm in it, because it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he made a ring of silver. Yes.

The questioner : And a ring of iron?

The Shaykh : Regarding a ring of iron, the scholars have differed on it.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Some of them disliked it, and some of them permitted it. I think some of them forbade it, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that it is from the adornment of the people of the Fire, and such a description necessitates that it be forbidden. However, the scholars differed on the authenticity of the hadith. Some of them said it is weak because it contradicts the established hadith of Sahl ibn Sa'd in "the two Sahihs" that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the man who wanted to marry the woman who offered herself to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) but he did not accept her, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
Look (for something), even if it is only an iron ring التمس ولو خاتماً من حديد
Sunan an-Nasa'i 3359Sahih (Darussalam)
And this indicates that a ring of iron is permissible. So whoever abstains from it, meaning from the iron ring, is more cautious, and in other metals, sufficiency is achieved. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you. The listener is from Sudan, his name is symbolized by the letter D, he is a Sudanese resident in Iraq, he says.
