Question:
We return at the beginning of this episode to a message sent to the program from the Yemeni Republic, sent by one of the sisters from there. The listener (J. A.) says: Our sister, we presented some of her questions in a previous episode, and in this episode she has some remaining questions, among which is a question that says: If there are some images of animals in the jewelry, is it permissible to wear it?
Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
It is not permissible for a woman to wear jewelry, or other clothing, that has images of animals on it, whether black animals, tigers, wolves, men, or women. It is obligatory that the head be removed. If the head is removed by any method, then wearing it is permissible. This is because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the removal of the head so that it would be in the form of a tree. When he saw a curtain at Aisha’s that had an image on it, he tore it and became angry—(peace and blessings be upon him)—and said:Sunan an-Nasa'i 5362Sahih (Darussalam) Therefore, it is obligatory that this image be removed by the possible method, and it is sufficient that the head be removed. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
