Commentary on some of the young people whom Allah has blessed with guidance and righteousness, who complain about the lack of response from their families.

The Shaykh : I also have a comment on what I said.
Some of the young people whom Allah has blessed with guidance and righteousness always complain about what they face from their families,
Sometimes because the young man did not use wisdom, and he wanted his family, who had lived as they had lived in disobedience, to reform overnight. Is that possible? Be careful, may Allah reward you.
I say: Some of the young people, male and female, whom Allah has blessed with guidance, want their families, who had lived in these wrongdoings, to reform overnight. You find that he does not have patience, so he goes and breaks the television, he goes and breaks the radio. "Man, I have the radio tuned to the Quran radio station." He says: "But this is a talking devil, break it, it is not good."
He finds negligence in prayer and gets angry, and perhaps he declares his family disbelievers in a state in which they are not disbelievers. So you find that he himself is distressed and he makes things difficult for his family, because he wants them to reform in an hour or in a moment. And this is a mistake. Did you not know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained in Mecca for how long? Thirteen years, and the revelation was coming down while he was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And after thirteen years, what happened? He left as an emigrant after Allah permitted him to, fearing from Quraysh, hiding from them in the Cave of Thawr. Did he despair of the call and leave the call? Never. So you must be patient and persevere, and the one who does not reform today will reform tomorrow, and start with the easiest of the easiest in refining the morals of the family.
And I am confident, by the power of Allah, that if a person is patient, perseveres, and holds firm, then what is his outcome? Success,
O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah يا أيها الذين آمنوا اصبروا وصابروا ورابطوا واتقوا الله
[Ali 'Imran 3:200]
the result is
Perhaps you will succeed لعلكم تفلحون
.
This is the problem that the young people always complain about.
