The questioner : He says in this question: It is reported regarding the righteous believers in the saying of Allah the Exalted
They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade يحلون فيها من أساور من ذهب ويلبسون ثيابا خضرا من سندس وإستبرق
[Al-Kahf 18:31]
So, does the verse mean, O honorable Shaykh, as I understood it, that it is permissible for the believers to wear gold in the Hereafter just as it is permissible for them to drink intoxicants in the Hereafter? We ask for your guidance on this?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. The answer to this question is that we say: Yes, the believers in Paradise are permitted to adorn themselves with gold and pearls, to wear silk, and to drink intoxicants. Although this is forbidden in this world because of what it entails in this world of turning away from the worship of Allah the Exalted and obedience to Him by being occupied with these matters, in the Hereafter, the Hereafter is a abode of recompense, not a abode of obligation. And although the people of Paradise glorify Allah Mighty and Majestic, praise Him, and extol Him with what is befitting Him, by way of gratitude and love, extolling Allah Mighty and Majestic. Allah the Exalted mentioned that the adornment of the people of Paradise is of pearls, gold, and silver, as Allah the Exalted said:
And they will be adorned with bracelets of silver وحلوا أساور من فضة
[Al-Insan 76:21]
And when these types gather in the place where they adorn themselves, they have a wondrous appearance and a magnificent splendor. This is part of the completion of their joy and bliss. We ask Allah the Exalted to make us all among them by His grace and generosity.

The questioner : O Allah, accept. May Allah reward you with good.
