Is it permissible to pour the water used to wash dishes after removing food from them into the sewage system? May Allah keep you safe and our Muslim brothers, or what should we do?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The listener Abdul Latif also, in his questions, says in this question, and I believe it is important, O honorable Shaykh: Is it permissible to pour the water used to wash dishes after removing food from them into the sewage system? May Allah keep you safe and our Muslim listeners, or what should we do?

The Shaykh : If a person makes a special drain for food waste in his house, there is no doubt that this is better, safer, and easier. However, if it is not possible due to the smallness of the house, or the prevention by the responsible authorities, or other such reasons, then there is no harm in directing the washing water into the water that flows into the sewage system, but on the condition that nothing of the food remains in these dishes. Rather, he should clean them first with a napkin or a rag, and then wash them. In this case, there is no blame on him, because the trace of the food will be submerged in the large amount of water that flows from his house and from others. Yes.

The questioner : Very well.
