The questioner : Did the Companions differ in matters of creed, O our Shaykh?
The Shaykh : May Allah protect them from that.
The questioner : Oh?
The Shaykh : May Allah protect them from that.
The questioner : Yes?
The Shaykh : May Allah protect them from that.
The questioner : And regarding the issue of Aishah, where she stated that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) saw his Lord, and Ibn Abbas differed on this issue, is this considered a difference in creed?
The Shaykh : What did Ibn Abbas say?
The questioner : Oh?
The Shaykh : What did Ibn Abbas say?
The questioner : We have heard that there is something like this!
The Shaykh : Yes?
The questioner : We need clarification on the issue, as it is for us.
The Shaykh : May Allah guide you, you are giving an example, so I ask you: What did Ibn Abbas say? So think about it, and I will tell you: Until we meet on another night, and peace be upon you.
