Did the Companions disagree on matters of creed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A question related to this topic: Did the Companions disagree on matters of creed?

The Shaykh : The answer has already been given. "The sword precedes the reproof." I said earlier that the Companions disagreed on some secondary issues, but they did not disagree—praise be to Allah—on any matter of creed, unlike the later generations.
The Salaf—praise be to Allah—had no Mu'tazilah among them, no Murji'ah, no Asha'irah, and no Maturidiyyah. Rather, they were all Salafis, just as we say today. This is because they all followed the master of the Salafis, the Messenger (peace be upon him), without leaning to the right or the left, and without making their minds and opinions the authority in matters of the unseen. You know, for example, that the Mu'tazilah denied the seeing of Allah in the Hereafter. On what evidence? They said: It is not possible for a weak human with poor vision to look at Allah, the Creator, the All-Powerful. They have no knowledge except what is logical. Our Lord has made it clear to us that the Day of Resurrection has a system different from the system of this perishing world.
and submit with complete submission ويسلِّموا تسليمًا
. We are not to say that this is illogical and far from reason and logic. The Mu'tazilah, the Asha'irah, and others fell into such deviations!
...
As for the Salaf, the Companions, and the Tabi'un among them, they did not know anything of this deviation. Therefore—praise be to Allah—they did not fall into disagreement on creed. For this reason, even the scholars of the later generations say:
And all good is in following those who came before *** And all evil is in the innovation of those who came after

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
