Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "He will send upon you both a blast of fire and molten copper, and you will not be able to defend yourselves."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And for this reason, He said after it:
There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.
[Ar-Rahman 55:35]
.
And this will occur on the Day of Resurrection, for Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said before this verse:
(31) We will attend to you, O prominent beings. (32) So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? (33) O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth
[Ar-Rahman 55:31-33]
to the end of it.
If a person reflects upon this noble verse and the context before and after it, he will know with certainty that it only occurs on the Day of Resurrection.
And when people ascended, by the crafts that Allah the Exalted taught them, until they left the atmosphere of the earth and reached the space and arrived at the moon, many people distorted this verse and said that it indicates what people have reached in ascending to space and arriving at the moon, and this is an error.
